If you think that talking therapy, or an assessment of your difficulties, might be helpful, please call or email using the contact details below. Often an initial telephone or email conversation can help clarify if or how making an appointment might be helpful and provide information about important issues such as confidentiality and costs.
If you decide that you would like an appointment, we would arrange a convenient date and time; normally this would be in my clinic although home appointments can be arranged if that is most helpful. Often, for example, family therapy meetings are more convenient and helpful at home.
The assessment meeting would usually enable us have a clear understanding about if or how psychological therapy might be helpful. We would also discuss the number of sessions, length of treatment and the possible cost of therapy. Sometimes alternative services (e.g. NHS services, self help approaches etc.) might be a more appropriate route forward and, if so, help would be provided to link you with these alternatives.
